Professor Davis qualified at Birmingham University in 1996. He gained his specialist training in the West Midlands and in Toronto, Canada.
Professor Davis specialises in the management of patients with hip and knee problems that require surgical replacement. He is at the forefront of robotic-assisted surgery, an expert in the use and development of computer navigation which improves the precision in which these operations can be performed. Professor Davis also an expert in revision hip and knee replacement. He sees patients with worn-out or painful hip and knee replacements and use a number of different procedures including the latest techniques and materials to restore patients function.
Professor Davis is actively involved in education and is the Senior Clinical Lecturer and Senior Clinical Examiner at The University of Birmingham. He is also the module lead for orthopaedics at the University of Birmingham.
